DIY Dressmaking Dummy

If you want to be able to fit commercial patterns on yourself without being a contortionist or dream of creating your own designs by draping on a stand why not make your own dress form.

We don’t all have a sewing buddy who can help us fit our garments but you can DIY a body double

In this workshop you will:

  • drape an ease-free block of your body
  • learn how to pad and shape the stand
  • check POMs and shape of stand
  • create a cover
  • finish and tape stand ready for use
