Rory
Educator, garment technologist, fitting nut
I have worked in the clothing industry from 17 years old, as a machinist, pattern cutter and finally as a garment technologist. My work took me all over the country and the world working in factories and buying offices for high strret and big brand names.
I am obsessed with all things textile
My mission is to pass on industry and couture skills so that people can make beautiful well fitting garments for themselves and to support local designers.
Education: BA Hons London College of Fashion, PGCE Post compulsory Education and Training
Danielle
Educator, pattern cutter, slighty obsessed grader and lover of pockets
I have worked in design rooms as a designer, pattern cutter and grader to develop collections for both men and women specialising in alternative sectors such as goth, punk, vintage and occasionwear.
With a degree specialising in menswear and its functional details I hate clothes without pockets.
My mission is to help people make garments that suit them and their lives to avoid the sewing equivalent of fast fashion.
Education: BA Hons in Fashion Design Northumbria University, DT SCITT training
