This course is suitable if you can use a sewing machine, have some experince making basic items and want to learn to make clothes, its also a great follow up to our complete beginners course.
You will create samples of a range of techniques that can be used to make garments such as tops and dresses.
On this course you will learn how to:
- Use patterns
- Insert a sleeve using the flat method
- Insert a set in sleeve
- Attach an all in one facing (or lining) around the neck and armhole
- Make a patch pocket
- Insert a pocket into a seam
- Create gathers and pleats

You should be able to make a simple garment such as a skirt with seams and darts – see content of beginners garment construction
